Casa Pedregal by Luis Barragàn

Casa Pedregal was designed by Luis Barragán between 1947 and 1950 and is located near UNAM in the south of Mexico City. According to an Elle Decor article that shows up when you google "Casa Pedregal" it was designed to be "lively, authentic, and familiar." And more to the point, it fucking rules. I knew none of this, or that this beautiful home even existed, when our friend Charlie told us that he had secured (hard to get) tickets to tour the house.

The image above is my favorite picture of the house, and it is also the one in the album below for which I can take the least amount of ownership. Just out of the shot on the table to the left was a framed black and white photo if--you guessed it--the house from this angle. Quite something to have a framed photo of your house in your house, but given that my impulse was to take and now share the same shot, I can't really blame them.
